Over 50 years ago, the RCHS published a detailed map of the canal (an early closure and parts never completed) expertly drawn by our member Richard Dean. Long out of print, the map is available once again on the Online Archive, together with a few of the many photographs of the remains of the canal taken over the years.
Richard is still an active member of the Society.
