Cove siding was on the GWR Exe Valley line between Tiverton and Bampton Hunslet diesel 0-4-0 WD No 1. This loco is Hunslet 1840 built in 1936. It was fitted with a 40/44hp Fowler Sanders 4B engine and weighed 10 tons. It was originally delivered to the Royal Ordnance Factory at Irvine and later transferred to Woolwich Arsenal. It was acquired by Pittrail who undertook many track lifting contracts in the 1960s.
