Grid Ref: SJ 27226 42436. This was a tramway transhipment basin with railways on the left and the central pier. Just to the right of the end of the right hand leg can be seen a bridge. This was over an arm that served industries to the east of the basin but in the original plans for the Ellesmere canal, it would have led to a 4000m long tunnel under Ruabon and then the canal would have continued north.Trevor Basin. 1957
