The only viable location would be over the entrance to a basin just east of Atherstone Top Lock (Lock 1) at Grid Ref: SP 3061 9753. The basin has now been filled in a housing built over it and all trace of the bridge has gone.Side Bridge, Atherstone. 1958

This is reportedly the only canal bridge that was high and wide enough not to need replacement when the railway was laid along the canal.
