Opened by the London & Birmingham Railway in 1838 as the half way engine change location between the two cities. For this reason both buildings were almost wholly occupied by Refreshment Rooms. All were demolished in the 1880s.

First recorded in timetables from 1892 the station remained in use as a halt till 1962 despite minimal use. The station was also known as Runemede during its lifetime. Pictured is a 1400 Class 0-4-2T No.1410 coming to a stop with a 2-coach train.

Opened in 1856 by the GWR. Platform board states "Yeovil Pen Mill Change For Taunton and Exeter".Note the traces of snow on the platforms and amongst the trackwork.

Opened in 1841 and closed to passengers in 1877 when the current York station was opened. The tracks remained in use, mainly for storage of rolling stock, until 1966.
