Chirk Aqueduct (1958)
The arches are hollow. The water was originally contained in a trough with masonry sides bonded using waterproof hydraulic lime cement, with a cast iron base plate. This was replaced in 1869 with a full metal trough. (6 July 1958)Chirk Aqueduct (1958)
