Cypress' was a ex Fellows Morton & Clayton motor boat built by Yarwoods of Northwich in 1935. 'Alsager' was a Station Class butty, converted between 1955 and 1957 from an open boat formerly used for coal traffic in the Birmingham area Kingbur Mill then had a covered way leading from the wharfside..
