The slide is in the collection for the Nottingham canal but no such location with a lock at the end of a canal joining another one exists. [Suggestions Please]

Lock

Location not identifiable but from the width of the pound, likely to be one of the locks, (9 to 11 0r 14 to 16) in the two three lock flights near Woolaton, either side of Grid Ref: SK 5319 4048 [NT-008-320]

Blacksmith's Lock and the 'Bottom of the Top Three' taken from Woodyard Lane Bridge, Grid Ref: SK 5319 4048 [NT-008-320] looking west. A semaphore signal on the MR Radford and Trowell line can be seen to the right of the picture. The area is now in the middle of a housing estate. The bridge has been demolished, the sites of both locks are in back gardens and there is a row of housed on the pound between them.

Picture taken from Coach Road Bridge, Grid Ref: SK 5277 4049 [NT-008-730], looking east towards 'Middle of Top Three' and 'Bottom of Top Three' Locks. Behind the fence was a football ground, now housing and Halfway House on Woodyard Lane (since demolished) can be seen in the distance.
