Dry bed from Charnwood Railway bridge (CF5)

Almost the same view as 046322 (CF2) but shows the canal to the left. 52°45'39.23" N 1°21'10.73" W What appears to be a steep bank is actually a weird perspective of a farm track heading across the canal bed. Again, these trees are long gone, as is the canal bed at this point - but the gateways are still there!

Possibly on the northern arm NE of Osgathorpe looking south from the B5324 at https://maps.app.goo.gl/YVcCzVUM7QXUXF278 where the canal bed still remains through the trees back towards the village.

Dry bed near the junction of the two western arms? (CF4)

Probably looking NE from near the junction of the two western arms, somewhere around https://maps.app.goo.gl/RQhAUBuxj3rsv2U49 This section of bed is now filled in but the towpath is still walkable and the bed to the south towards the site of the terminus by Cinder Hill Farm is really good - and a public footpath.

Location not specified but the curvature of the canal and Wharf House and warehouse in the distance are consistent with the picture having been taken from about Grid Ref: SS 3463 0528 [BUh-024-940] on New Market Road, Holsworthy, looking east ESE.

See also 046336 (CF16) & 046326 (CF6) I suspect they are taken from the same point looking either way from one of the railway crossings if the milepopst(?) in the second is anything to go by? Alternatively, they are of the same piece of ground, taken from slightly different locations, which shows signs of being worked, and possibly a canal bed. There are few places where the canal and railway are at the same level *and* in level surroundings. One such place is just east of Blackbrook, between there and Tickow Bridge (see 046335E - CF15). So this would fit in a sequence of photos taken at the same time. Similarly, 046338E (CF18) and 046334E (CF14) would also fit in as being at the Blackbroook end of the canal loop around the hill that the railway cut through at https://maps.app.goo.gl/EpkPr8mVNgCpJxWf9
