Also Bridge 6A. Grid Ref: SP 5934 6858 [GL-004-540]. The plaque on the bridge reads 1902, the year that the flight at Watford was rebuilt, still as narrow locks, ending the hope of using either broad locks or an inclined plane like the one at Foxton to create a broad gauge connection to the River Trent. Taken from the disused Great Central Railway at SP 5244 6439. Looking towards Braunston with the canal along the hedgerow in the centre of the picture. Grid Ref. SP 5284 6472 [OX-037-550/OXq-003-600]. The embankment visible under the spire of Braunston church is the track of the Weedon and Leamington Branch of the L&NWR. Near the right hand end of the embankment can be seen a small bush and the hedgerow to the right of this is the canal returning from it's excursion up the River Leam valley.Wolfhampcote Loop.
