The locomotive number 872 was a 2-2-2 built in 1892 by Patrick Stirling at Doncaster, it had 7 foot 71/2 inch driving wheels. The train of consists of six ECJS carriages all fitted with 6 wheeled bogies. 4-DD Double Deck Carriage.
Double decked electric train at Charing Cross station on its inaugural trip on 1st November 1949. Introduced as an experiment on the London-Dartford routes on Wednesday 2nd November 1949, it was designed to relieve overcrowding on these services.4-DD Double Deck Carriage.

A short distance north of Freeth Bridge, Brownhills, which carries the A5 (Watling Street) over the canal, hence some maps (e.g. Richard Dean’s Canal Map) refer to it as ‘Watling Street Wharf’. The building has a plate over the middle window with “249” imprinted. The site of the wharf is now occupied by a 1970’s (or thereabouts) housing estate with the road named “Roundhill Way”BCN Wyrley & Essington Canal. Bodmin & Wadebridge Railway 4-wheeled Composite Carriage of 1834 (Ref: 011528)
Pictured in the old British Transport Museum at Clapham. The Bodmin and Wadebridge Railway opened in 1834 to link the quays at Wadebridge with the town of Bodmin, and also to quarries at Wenfordbridge. It was purchased by the LSWR in 1847. Coalport - Hay Inclined Plane (1879)
Located at the end of the Shropshire Canal, the inclined plane was a dual-track plateway, used to lower canal tub-boats 207 feet (63 m) to a short canal, from where loads could be transferred from the tubs to trows on the River Severn. Its last known use was in 1872, and definitely not used after 1894. It was officially abandoned in 1907. The photo depicts the incline in 1879.Coalport - Hay Inclined Plane (1879)
D17 Class 4-4-0 No.1627 (Ref: 011555)

East Coast Joint Stock Articulated Set Third Class No. 206 and First Class No. 202
Converted by the Great Northern Railway from two six wheeled carriages of 1893 vintage. The revamped elliptical roofed articulated set had three four wheeled bogies. There are five third class compartment and two lavatory compartments in carriage 206 and four first compartments and two lavatory compartments in carriage 202.
