The Sprague-Thomson metro cars (usually just referred to a ‘Sprague’) were the first all-metal rolling stock on the Paris Métro, replacing the mostly wooden M1 stock involved in the Paris Métro train fire of 1903. This set was preserved following retirement in 1983, and is used for heritage special trains
