Trent buses: BMMO-built Reg No, RC7927 (built 1940), and Leyland Cub Reg No. YRC151 (built 1962) at Belper Bus Garage

Birmingham & Midland Motor Omnibus Company. (BMMO), a.k.a. "Midland Red".
Belper Bus Garage also serves as a small bus station. The front entrance of the bus garage faces on to the main A6 road, but originally buses entered via the rear of the building. However, modern buses which are slightly longer can’t fit through the rear entrance and this was closed off some time ago. There used to be a pedestrian entrance at the rear of the bus garage but that was also closed many years ago, so both buses and passengers have to use the front entrance these days.

Preserved Southdown bus 125 (reg. CD 5125), a Leyland N Type with Short Brothers bodywork

The N Type was only built from 1919 to 1921. This bus was built in 1920 as a solid tyred single-decker. In 1928 it was rebodied as an open top double-decker body with pneumatic tyres. Probably photographed at the Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre, West Sussex.

The coach was bought to operate between Holmsley Station and Bournemouth until 1888 when Bournemouth Station was opened.
The step ladder giving access to the top seats can be glimpsed behind the front wheel.

Manchester Corporation Transport Department Daimler double-decker bus No 4586 (registration number 9586 NA), and single-decker coach DDB282, in Lostock Road, Poynton, with the old station behind. 25 November 1961

Allan Brackenbury recorded the double-decker as owned by the North Western Road Car Company, but Manchester Corporation buses always had Manchester registrations (such as NA) whilst North Western had Stockport ones (such as DB), so the single decker is probably North Western

AEC Regent V / Northern Counties Double-decker bus, Reg.No. KNY 495D. Built 1964

New to Rhondda Transport as No. 495, the bus passed to National Welsh and on withdrawal was immediately purchased by its current owner. The photo is in front of the Pierhead Building, a Grade I listed building in Cardiff Bay. It was built in 1897 as the headquarters for the Bute Dock Company. The Pierhead Building is part of the estate of the Senedd, which also includes the Senedd building and Tŷ Hywel.

Preserved AEC double-decker buses: VKH 44, BDJ 67 & OKH 337. Details of 4th bus, date, and location, unknown

VKH 44: East Yorkshire Motor Services 1956-built AEC Regent MkV with a 56 seat Willowbrook body built to the special "Beverley Bar" profile (tapered upper deck sides to fit under the North Bar in Beverley (the only road into the town from the North before the by-pass was built). It was based when new at EYMS' Driffield depot and used on the Hull to Scarborough run. It was withdrawn in 1972.

OKH 337. Kingston-upon-Hull City Transport 1953-built AEC Regent III, with Weymann bodywork.
