Vlaamse Vervoersmaatschappij De Lijn ("Flemish transport company 'The Line'"), more commonly known as De Lijn, is a state-owned enterprise run by the Flemish government in Belgium to provide public transport with about 2240 buses and 399 trams. De Lijn was founded in 1991.

The museum is housed in a former tram depot, built in 1904 to host and maintain the new rolling stock to be used to transport the many visitors expected at the World Fair in Liège in 1905. After serving as a tram depot (for the Société des Tramways Liégeois transport company) then a bus depot, the building was transformed into a museum in 1985.
Tram Number 10112 is a 2-axle tram which operated on the Chemins de Fer Vicinaux (SNCV), primarily on line 61, running from Liège to Tilleur, Belgium. The SNCV network linked rural and regional areas throughout Belgium.
