The bogie van with the swastika emblem on the bodyside is not German (Deutsche Reichsbahn) but French (SNCF). Some continental rolling stock, out of gauge for British railways not being ferry stock, was noted as being at Dover during the war. Whether the SNCF bogie van received the swastika before shipment to Dover or whilst at Dover would be interesting to learn!
