Ivy Bridge, just south of Bromley South (VIR @ 11mp approx). LCDR Loco on Passenger train (Ref: 010104)
The bridge now carries Murray Avenue, but was an occupation bridge when the photo was taken. It was the scene of an accident in November 1882 when part of the parapet fell down, and shortly afterwards the whole bridge collapsed killing 8 workmen who were attempting to make it safe.
The loco may be No 26, a “Tiger” class 2-4-0.
