0-4-0 "Invicta" Canterbury & Whitstable Railway
Built by Robert Stephenson & Co. in 1829. Was used at the opening of the Canterbury and Whitstable Railway which is claimed to be the World's first passenger railway. The loco was retired in 1836 before the line was taken over by the SER and is currently on display at the Whitstable Community Museum. This picture dates from c.1936 when the loco was on display in Canterbury.
