The LBSCR and SER Joint Company operated 12 1/2 miles of the Croydon and Oxted Line from South Croydon to Hurst Green. Beyond Hurst Green the line was owned by the LBSCR although the SER had some running powers over the route. There was also a short branch operated by the two companies (Woodside and South Croydon Railway) which ran from Selsdon to Woodside.
