Probably a non-smoking coach as the seats are cloth covered. The control in the middle of the mirror is for steam heating. The two crests on the Apollinaris water advertisement are "By Royal Appointment"; one to King George V (reigned 1010 - 1936) and the other to Queen Alexandra (his mother). Given its German source, and the dress of the lady in the advertisement, it is probable that the advert is pre-World War 1. Apollinaris water comes from a spring in Bad Neuenahr, Germany, discovered in 1852. A red triangle symbol and the slogan "The Queen of Table Waters" were adopted as British trademarks in 1895. Today the source and the brand of Apollinaris belong to Coca-Cola, which acquired it from Cadbury-Schweppes in 2006. The other advertisements are for Pearls "Jewellers to His Majesty the King"; and Swan and Edgar, a department store located at Piccadilly Circus, London, founded by George Swan & William Edgar in 1812 and closed in 1982.
