Mount WashngtonCog Railway, New Hamoshire. Loco number 1 plinthed at base station. Locomotive number 1, named Hero but nickname Peppersass. Used in the building of the line and steamed from the opening in 1869 to its withdrawal in 1876. Built by Campbell, Whittier and Co. of Roxbury MA. 4'8" gauge.

Steam cog locomotive number 6 at Base station. Mount Washngton Cog Railway Locomotive number 6 built Manchester Locomotive Works in 1874 with vertical boiler, called "Tip-Top". Rebuilt 1878 with horizontal boiler and named "Great Gulf".. In 2000/2001 renamed "Kancamagus". Out of service 2010. Manchester Locomotive works were in New Hampshire. Loco buuilding started in 1855. In 1901 it merged with 7other companies to form ALCO Americam Locomotive Company.
