J72 class No 69023 0-6-0T "Joem" on the North Yorks Moors Railwas
Joem was a member of the NER E1 class 0-6-T, first built in 1898 and with building continued into British Rail days with 69023 appearing in 1951. LNER classification was J72. In 1964 it was taken into departmental stock as number 59. Purchased and taken into preservation in 1969 and given the name Joem. It is pictured on a passenger train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway with Lambton Colliery No 5, an 0-6-2T built Robert Stephenson in 1909 (Works Number 3377) behind 69023. In the late 1970's, Joem also ran trips on what was left of the Derwent Valley Light railway.
