In 1983, platforms 1 & 2 were closed at Bridlington for eventual redevelopment for housing. The map was on platform 1. At some point it was removed from the wall but suffered a lot of damage.During summer 2020, the Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnership acquired the remains of Bridlington station's historic NER tiled map. The remaining tiles are now within a framed display case at Bridlington, unveiled on Monday January 17th 2022.
