GN & NE Joint Stock First Class Corridor Carriage No.34

One of six carriages built by the Great Northern Railway at Doncaster in 1907 to a design by Nigel Gresley. The carriages, built for use on the 17:30 Kings Cross to Newcastle express, were fitted with both air and vacuum brakes and lit electrically. This carriage had eight first class compartments but no lavatory compartment.
