The locomotive number 872 was a 2-2-2 built in 1892 by Patrick Stirling at Doncaster, it had 7 foot 71/2 inch driving wheels. The train of consists of six ECJS carriages all fitted with 6 wheeled bogies. The train is pictured heading North from Finsbury Park with the branch to Barnet/Edgware rising up on the right.

The set was converted in 1907 and has the date of 12.1.1907 on the solebar.
