2-2-2T loco built by Sharp Bros. of Manchester in 1849 as a tender engine for the LBSCR. Converted to tank engine for CV&H Railway. It possesses cylinders 15" x 20" and driving wheels 6' 6" diameter. This engine was the second to be acquired by the CV&H Railway, the first being a 2-4-0T purchased from the Eastern Counties Railway. Photograph taken at Halstead.
