0-4-0 Well Tank built by Geo. England & Co. of Hatcham Ironworks in 1857 for the Sandy & Potton Rly. It was taken over by the LNWR in October 1862 and numbered 1104. After being used in Crewe Works for 15 years it was sold to Wantage Tramway in May 1878 as "Shannon".
On August 12th 1863 the LNWR sent the locomotive to Ladmanlow on the Cromford & High Peak Railway. It was politely returned to Longsight eleven days later as 'unsuitable'. This engine has survived and is now preserved at the Didcot Railway Centre.
