Aylesbury Station circa 1908 (MCJ2 @ 38m 13ch; PRA @ 49m 35ch)
The Wycombe Railway opened a station on the site on 1 October 1863, and was absorbed by the GWR in 1867. It was incorporated into the newly formed Great Western and Great Central Joint Railway on 1 August 1899.
The station was extended and expanded for the Met/GC and GW/GC Joint Railways, coming into use on 1 January 1894. This station was rebuilt by the LNER in 1926. The train on the left is a GWR service to Princes Risborough.
