Ivybridge Station pre-1892. (MLN1 @ 235m 13ch)
This is the first Ivybridge station that was opened in this location by the South Devon Railway in 1848. The viaduct pictured is the original broad gauge viaduct designed by Brunel also opened in 1848. It was replaced with the current viaduct in 1892 in conjuction with the conversion to standard gauge. The original viaduct pillars still stand alongside the newer viaduct.
