Banbury (DCL @ 86m 16ch), looking south. LNER A3 4-6-2 No 60102 “Sir Frederick Banbury”
Banbury part way through its rebuilding circa 1951. The A3 will have come off the GCR from Woodford Halse and is probably waiting to return there with a local passenger train. The coach is a GWR auto-trailer and looks to have a 14xx 0-4-2T or maybe a pannier tank on the front - there was an auto train service linking Banbury to Princes Risborough via Bicester. There's a gas tank wagon in the background too
