At Tyn-y-Coed, south east across the River Tawe to Graigola Colliery (¾m). Opened in 1830 & owned by Parsons and Price, who mined via a level into the hillside above Tyr Eynon Farm. The coal was taken out by tramroad which passed through the neighbouring Neuadd Wenn Farm and across the Lleche brook before crossing the River Tawe to the loading basin on the Swansea Canal.
