The view is north of Nantyfyllon Station where the DL&PCR joined the line of the Llynvi Valley Railway heading towards its original terminus at what became known as Caerau or Duffryn Goods, to the left of and beyond the prominent building. The LVR’s northern extension commenced just short of this junction and headed under the over bridge. This later junction was controlled by Tywith Junction signal box on the right, later renamed Nantyfyllon North. One of the headframes of Coegnant Colliery is visible on the skyline
