Bertram Baxter wrote “At the time of my visit to this district in September 1928, a piled up heap of old metal waggon bodies were awaiting disposal as scrap metal. In the foreground can be seen a high sided waggon of a different type. This was one of a number used to convey bales of cloth from the Whitehall Print Works which had a siding into the works yard from the tramroad.”
