Standing on the wharf, on the left and with life ring attached, is a plywood lift-out cabin from one of the British Transport Waterways' experimental motor boats of the late 1950s. Apparently abandoned, it was still there in the late 1970s, by then falling apart.

Standing on the wharf ( with life ring attached) is a plywood lift out cabin from one of the British Waterways experimental motor boats of the late 1950s . Quite how it ended up there I don't know, but it was still there in the late 70s when I inspected it, by then falling apart!
