The SCT Knud was built by Floating Dock A/S in Denmark, and was launched and named on 05 November.1930. She served almost 29 years on Odense canal and harbour, and later transferred to Fowey, where she was renamed Canute. She spent the following 7 years towing clay ships in Fowey Harbour.
The Maritime Museum was open from 1969 to 1997.
