Seen from the castle bluff. Grid Ref: SS 2055 0634 [BUh-001-210]. The sea lock is in the middle distance with the track of the tramway between the towpath and the water course on the right. To the right of the lock is the ramp that took the tramway down onto the beach where several tram tracks were laid for collecting the sea sand that was a major commodity carried by the canal.
