Staines Bridge (Print)
Grid Ref: TQ 0319 7152 [TR-175-300]. Not dated but possibly just after the current bridge, designed by John Rennie, was opened in 1832. In the foreground is the 'London Stone', which marked the extent of the control of the river by the City of London, being the highest point to which tides reached before the installation of weirs and locks.
