The bridge is now Hythe Bridge and possibly was at the time. The spill weir near the current end of the canal can bee seen on the left. The boat in the foreground is on the Thames back stream. That on the canal is a Thames Flat being hauled away from the wharfs south of the bridge. Isis lock was installed as a wide lock in 1796 and the bridge at Worcester Street was widened in 1800 to allow Thames Flats into the coal wharf. Grid Ref. SP 5082 0638 [OH-001-410]
