Main canal between Preston and Kendal and the Walton Summit Arm from Johnson's Hillock. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal used the section further south between Johnson's Hillock and the top of the Wigan lock flight. This section has now been considered as part of the main line of the L&L. The new, effective, southern section of the canal using the Rufford Branch and Douglas Navigation is also included in the album for the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
