Breach just to the south of the Bollin Aqueduct. 1 September 1971
Grid Ref: SJ 7286 8746 [BWm-017-930]This breach, which happened on 2 August 1971, closed the canal for two years. The section was repaired, partially by narrowing the channel in the area of the breach but on the 1st January 2025, a more serious breach occurred in the same location after heavy rain.
