The bridge over the junction with the Peak Forest Canal. Grid Ref: SJ 9348 9843 [AN-010-960]. Pedantically this is to an arm of the Ashton and the Peak Forest starts on the other side of Dunkinfield Aqueduct. RCHS visit. The party includes members Messrs Voce, Remington and Moon. The white bridge is Bridge 29 (Portland Street Footbridge), a public footpath with street lamps.
