The picture is taken from under London Road Bridge (No.3), Grid Ref: SK 5786 3940 [NT-002-200]. . Ahead is the arm to the GNR siding and Manvers street Wharf with the Poplar Cut going off to the left in the distance. The enclosed footbridge in the middle distance connected Boot factory on the left to the GNR London Road Station. Then main line of the canal goes off to the right under the 20m wide GNR Railway bridge on top of which was their station.
