The 13⅞ mile long Navigation connects Chelmsford with the tidal estuary of the River Blackwater at Heybridge Basin, where there is a sea lock, one of 13. Several of the pictures are of Trip Boats in 1960 and 1970 and these have been collected in a sub album, sorted first by date and then, as far as possible by location.
