In background on either side of the house are the approach viaduct and the two wide spans of the Severn Railway Bridge. Quote from Sharpness Facebook: ANTHONY M was an occasional caller to Quedgeley with black oil from Swansea during the winters of 1961 - 1969, her last of 59 visits was on the 10th May 1969. An interesting ship she was built by Peters at Wewelsfleth as the GOHREN in 1944 and taken as a war prize becoming EMPIRE TIGITY before becoming ANTHONY M, she was scrapped in 1983 as the sludge boat KINDER.Sharpness New Dock.
