The “shack” in the centre is the oldest building in the docks; an iron frame transit shed built in 1867 for the Midland Railway. Its ironwork is in good condition, but awaits restoration. Grid Ref: SO 8260 1802 [GS-026-900]. To is left is Downing’s Malthouse
